What is Fertility Reflexology?

Specialist reflexology to support you through your fertility journey - whether you are trying to conceive naturally or undergoing assisted fertility treatment.

Fertility reflexology is a specialised form of reflexology, with treatment tailored to your individual cycle, fertility history and circumstances.

I use specialist fertility reflexology techniques and protocols developed by Barbara Scott, adapting each treatment to the different stages of the menstrual cycle or, where appropriate, to your assisted fertility treatment plan.

Fertility can be an emotional journey as well as a physical one. Your sessions also offer time to slow down, relax and feel supported, with space to talk if you would like to.

Fertility is a Shared Journey

Fertility difficulties can relate to the female partner, the male partner, or a combination of factors affecting both.
Male factors are thought to contribute to a significant proportion of fertility difficulties, which is why I feel it is important not to focus solely on the female partner.
Sperm health - including count, motility and morphology - can all play a part in the chance of conception.
Sperm take around three months to develop and mature, so ideally this is something to consider well before trying to conceive or beginning fertility treatment.
Where appropriate, I like to work with both partners, supporting each person individually as part of their shared fertility journey.

Your Initial Fertility Consultation

As part of my fertility consultations, I take time to look at the wider picture, including relevant medical investigations, semen analysis results where available, and lifestyle factors such as nutrition, sleep, stress and general wellbeing.

For men, this may include discussing sperm count, motility and morphology, and considering factors that could influence sperm health. My approach combines individually tailored reproductive reflexology with an awareness of the importance of preconception health for both partners.

For women, we'll also explore your menstrual cycle, any symptoms or concerns you may have, and your fertility history. This helps me build a fuller picture of your individual circumstances and tailor your reflexology treatments to your needs.

Your initial consultation is a relaxed opportunity to talk through your fertility journey, ask questions and develop a personalised treatment plan together.
