Maternity reflexology is a specialist approach to reflexology, adapted to support women throughout pregnancy, helping them feel more comfortable, relaxed and supported as their bodies change and prepare for birth.
Pregnancy is an extraordinary time, but it can also bring physical discomfort, emotional change and uncertainty. Whether you're experiencing nausea, heartburn, constipation, pelvic girdle discomfort, disturbed sleep or simply feeling tired and overwhelmed, maternity reflexology offers a gentle, supportive approach alongside your usual maternity care.
As a qualified maternity reflexologist, I adapt each treatment to your stage of pregnancy, individual needs and how you're feeling on the day. Drawing on my aromatherapy training, I may also incorporate carefully selected essential oils, where appropriate, offering an additional layer of therapeutic support tailored to your needs. My aim is to provide a calm space where you can take time for yourself, ease tension and enjoy some much-needed rest.
As your due date approaches, reflexology can also offer valuable time to relax, feel supported and prepare emotionally for the arrival of your baby.

Research & Evidence
Research into maternity reflexology has explored how regular treatments during pregnancy may support women's physical and emotional wellbeing, as well as investigating possible benefits for labour. Several studies have reported encouraging findings, particularly in relation to pregnancy-related discomfort, stress, anxiety and labour experiences.

After the excitement and intensity of pregnancy and birth, it's easy for a mother's own needs to take a back seat. Yet the weeks and months following childbirth are a time of enormous physical and emotional change, when a little care and attention for yourself can mean so much.
Whether you're recovering from birth, adjusting to broken sleep, experiencing emotional ups and downs, or simply finding your feet in your new role, postnatal reflexology offers a gentle, nurturing space where the focus is entirely on you.
Treatments are adapted to your individual circumstances, taking into account your birth experience, recovery and how you're feeling. Where suitable, I may also incorporate carefully chosen essential oils to complement your reflexology treatment and encourage a sense of calm and relaxation. Reflexology can offer an opportunity to rest, relax and feel supported as you adjust to life with your baby.
And there's no need to rush back to feeling like your old self. Becoming a mother is a significant transition, and you deserve care and support along the way.
